  • Biolog, Inc. is a privately held company that began operations in 1984. The company's product lines have been built upon unique patented technology that greatly simplifies testing of cells. Biolog has established a large global presence in industrial microbiology for the identification and characterization of microbial species. In 1991, Biolog, Inc. was a recipient of the "R&D 100 Award" for the company's groundbreaking bacterial identification products. These products are marketed under the MicroLog™, MicroStation™ and OmniLog® brand names.

The principal customers of Biolog’s microbiology identification products are laboratories that require accurate and reproducible first time identifications of even the most challenging microbes, especially pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic, and medical device manufacturing companies.

    Omnilog Plus
The Omnilog ID System will provide your laboratory with the ability to identify over 2000 species/taxa of bacteria, yeast and filamentous fungi – far more than any other automated ID system. The Omnilog System is designed to address the identification needs of a wide range of applications including environmental monitoring and QA/QC in support of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device manufacturing, food spoilage and implementation of HACCP programs, public health epidemiology, as well as fall-through testing for the clinical reference laboratory.

    Precise Performance
Unparalleled accuracy, expecially useful for the identification of difficult organisms other sytems miss. Largest and broadest database of any kit-based method Incubation temperature can be optimized for the type of organism

    Full Automation
The Omnilog automatically incubates, reads and interprets the Biolog MicroPlates

    Rapid Results
Begins to interpret the Biolog MicroPlates in as little as 4 hours If no result is obtained after 6 hours, the instrument automatically continues incubation and gives a final result between 16 and 24 hours.

    Expandability
Like all biolog systems, the databases are expandable and customizable by the user.
Can be expanded to the Plus version to identify and characterize a broad spectrum of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, filamentous fungi, and yeast

    Control
Easily validated with the available Omnilog Validation Package Software controls can be activiated to support compliance with FDA guidelines
